Hm, so the first witch is different from the first slayer, I have to admit I'm not that firm in my Buffy mythology though. And Neena was born before names. Even Leo doesn't know which species she is,
which is strange considering the first witch should be quite famous ;) And I guess she had to be at least neutral in the beginning, maybe recently something has happened that's changed her.

So Leo basically tells Phoebe and Paige that Neena, the First Witch, is like Eve from the Bible. Her and her mate tapped into a power known as The All. It is more powerful than the Nexus; it's
basically the source of all magic. Neena and her mate had two children, one good and one evil. Each child possessed weaker versions of Neena's powers. There are few direct decedents of Neena and her
mate, but the Warren family line is one of them. Neena's mate left her and hasn't been seen again. Neena has run the Elders into hiding and somehow Kyle is alive again. Piper was sent to the same
place where the Angel of Destiny was sent a few issues back. The Angel of Destiny fills her in. Piper finds a tree with on single apple hanging from it. The Angel takes it from her and uses it to
escape. Then Cole appears and gives Piper and apple!
It was a really good issue, probably my favorite. I'm still a little confused on the whole Neena storyline, but maybe if I read it again it will make sense more. Maybe someone could add a little
more.

Yeah, I think the Elders prevented him from moving on to help with the Neena situation or something. And the apples are a product of the realm Neena made so they contained her power or something. The
Angel of Destiny used it to transport out of the realm.

Cole is only in the last panel but his shadowy figure was in all the issue. His appearence is the cliffhanger of the issue where he appears to Piper. The only powers used in the issue is Combustion
by Piper and Electrokinesis by Elders. Maybe also flight by some demons that have no wings. thats it
This issue explains very much of neenas origins and intentions and also the origins of all magic. It have much action in the neena,rennek,demons vs elders scenes but also is a great issue that

leo says her story starts from the FIRST DAYS OF HUMANITY
so leo starts telling a story
while we see piper in a dark empty place

neither good nor evil , it was part of everything like air and earth
the elders call it THE ALL
while we listen to leo
piper opens a fire in the dark place
with her powers

the AOD says that nothing in this place is destined and that both of them there are beyond the grand design
piper asks where they are and what the aod does there
the AOD says they are in a mistake a place that should not exist. a magical construct to attempt to recreate something lost
The AOD takes the apple from piper
and says she was searching for a way out of there for a long time
she is probably there for months
piper talks about the woman that send her there (neena)
and the angel of destiny starts explaining to piper like how leo explains to the sisters
Leos story now continues
the woman shared that power with her mate and it changed them, made them immortal and invulnerable
it bonded them forever to one another and to the ALL creating a state beyond consciousness beyond the known univerce
that place is called the higher realm
a place of pure utter bliss that they shared with the ALL
but their presence there affected the earth their magical bond contained the ALL in the higher realm
the world started to die
now we are in the upper regions where the war between neena and the elders continues
many elders are dead
leo continues the story
the only way to save earth was for the woman and her mate to seperate their powers
to allow the power of the all to flow freely again
Meanwhile in the upper regions Neena is winning
elders are retreating
thousands of demons go to the gates of the upper regions
neena and rennek too
the elders barricade themselves in the gates
and elder shouts
CLOSE THE GATES, KYLE
we see kyle opening the gates
the elder thanks kyle for letting them in
but says that this is not a permanet solution , kyle shouldnt be here, he hasnt moved on
neena tells a huge goblin like demon to make sure the elders dont pass, the name of the demon or the species is IMPEDIMENTIA
neena says she has things to do before they regroup
leo continues the story
the woman and man forced to abandon the higher realm
never to return again

leo says that this story is the basis of many belief systems (its obvious it is adam and eve but he never says it)
leo continues the story:
once back on earth the woman gave birth to a pair of children
that were concieved while she was in the higher realm
the first child had powers like her mother just not so strong, it is from this child that natural born witches came
the second child was born with the same abilities but he used the magic for dark purposes and that gave rise to warlocks
paige tells that she thought warlocks were just witches that turn bad
but leo says that while some witches turn bad and become warlocks
some are born that way too
the other children that came later had no powers to speak of but they and their descendants could tap into the magic as magic practitioners
and those are how humans were made probably
in very rare cases these non magical descendants can give birth to a full witch but this can upset the grand design
leo says that the warren family didnt just come into the magic but are part of Neenas bloodline
now we go back to piper and AOD
the AOD says that the place they are in is an attempt that neena did to recreate the higher realm
but she failed
piper asks why the AOD didnt try to stop her
but the AOD says that there are beings that even AODs cant touch
suddenly there is an earthquake
piper and AOD run for their lives and the earth cracks
swallowing the tree
a mysterious figure still watches them both from the distance
the AOD holds the last apple
the AOD says that a person cant create an alternate plane of existance without a few side effects (earthquake)
she then says the first witch exists outside of the grand design
mysterious figure still watches them all the time
the AOD say that they can only witness Neenas actions but not change them
she then says that she is very sorry for doing that to Piper
she takes a bite from the apple
and dissapears
then paige asks leo where the guy is now ,neenas mate
leo says that Neenas mate eventually returned to the higher realm
leo continues the story
everytime a witch is born she inherits a tiny piece of the ALL
not a lot but just enough to have an active power
with every new descendant the ALL began to weaken it was spread too thin
it needed to reclaim some of the magic it had lost, it needed on of the two to return
so neenas mate returned to the higher plane
but he didnt abandon her, not by choice.one day he was just gone
and she was alone for the first time in forever
they had no control over what happened to them
his return to the higher realm had become part of the grand design
the elders were forced to make a decision. they chose her mate to go to the higher realm and not neena
as we all know you dont mess with the grand design
while leo says that
the mysterious figure appears in from of piper giving her an apple

leo makes a comment that having died and having moved on is something different. kyle is dead but somehow hasnt moved on. wasnt explained in this issue im sure it will be in the next ones

Ok so is this what happened? There was humans all along. Then neena (a human) found a giant nexus(except it was all over the world and not just in the basement of the charmed ones) called the all.
This gave her loads of magic powers(stronger then the CO?). She shared this with her husband who then became connected with the giant nexus and her. Then they created a different realm full of
happiness and bliss. Here they concieved twins although they had not yet been born. Then the world was being destroyed as neena and her husband forced the all to stay in the higher realm so the
elders made them return to earth along with the all. Here their twins were born. One a natural witch and another a natural warlock.They had loads of powers too but not as much as neena. These two
children then created the witch/ warlock lines. However they were not immortal like their parents so they died. However after thousnads of years the witch and warlock lines had grown to big (and the
all gave a piece of itself to everyone witch/warlock born) After thousands of years it had been spread too thin so the elders knew they had to make one of the two (neena and her husband) return to
the higher plane and use the loads of power given to them when they connected to the all to help the all. The elders choose the guy randomly and so he was forced back there where he helped the all to
survive and grant more witches and warlocks power. Then neena was alone. Also neenas line was supposed to be the only witches/warlocks but other non humans not connected to the all were given powers
too creating other witch families?
i think you got it right megawhatz. Technically Neenas line is all there is in the world cause she is like Eve, the woman that all other people came from.

im sure its not cole, he was born on 1800+. Neena is the oldest creature along with her mate, definately not Cole. He Mate somehow dissapeared and a have a theory on how he may . Its only a theory of
mine and is not included in the issue.
MY THEORY:
the elders chose neena to stay on earth and her mate to return to the higher place . this is stated in the issue. Also we know that with every new magical creature that is born a little something
from the ALL is given to each new magical being that it is born. Neenas mate contained half the ALL. It is stated that sometime Neenas mate dissapeared but we dont know when. My theory is that
centuries and centuries of new supernatural beings passed and eventually HALF the ALL got depleted. Because Neenas mate had half the ALL, when this half ALL vanished, Neenas mate vanished too.
I will also continue my theory and say that now in the modern times not much of the ALL is left. And that means that if all the ALL is depleted Neena will probably perish too since she contains the
rest of the ALL. So i think Neena's goal is actually not to die so thats why she is trying to recreate the higher plane (probably to bring her mate back too) but so far she has failed.

I find it interesting that Piper and Cole often come across each other. In the television series, Piper and Cole had an episode together, and now an issue together. I wonder if Paul used this as his
inspiration. It would be interesting to see Cole and Paige's chemistry together.
actually its not an issue of them together, its only one panel, but he will probably interact with only Piper in the next issue, i dont think he wants to disturb phoebe again.
About paige i think there may be interaction but probably a very typical one. They dont actually like each other hehe.
Also i think both sisters (if paige sees cole too) will hide that fact that they saw cole.

I have a theory about Cole's presence: in "The Seven Year Witch" he says he's caught in a void between Life and Death, and that's kinda what the Higher Realm was, in a way, or at least Neena's failed
attempt at recreating the Higher Realm is. That would explain why he was there.
The narration and accompanying imagery implied he was Neena's mate, which is absurd, since he was born in the 1800s, so I doubt he's Neena's mate.
I'm still not sure if I like Kyle still being alive - it takes away from the scene on the bridge, in my opinion. So Whitelighters are forced to move on if killed (again) by a Darklighter arrow but
Elders have a choice? Seems a bit convenient. That wasn't explained very well - I hope they'll go over that in Issue #10.

It's nice to see cool back.I keep thinking how cool it would be if it turns out that where piper is,is the same place that they accidentally sent Prue in season two,when she went three that portal
with one of the four horseman,by having both side together using there magic they could have tapped into the all and sent them there that would be awesome.But most likely not the case here I highly
doubt it.

THE ANALYTICAL PLOT OF THE ISSUE:
leo tells them they wont find the answer they want in the book of shadoes
phoebe wants to find piper but leo tells them they have to first learn everything about Neena
cause otherwise its gonna be dangerous to confront her
leo says her story starts from the FIRST DAYS OF HUMANITY
so leo starts telling a story
while we see piper in a dark empty place
“when the world was dark a spiritual energy run through everything that existed
neither good nor evil , it was part of everything like air and earth
the elders call it THE ALL
while we listen to leo
piper opens a fire in the dark place
with her powers
molecular icombustion probably
thousands upon thousands of yeaRs ago
a woman came across that nexus

At first they were afraid of it
but she pushed past that fear

well the woman who tapped into the ALLs power was infused with more of the ALL than any human was supposed to possess
now leos story is cut for some panels
the angel of destiny from issue 1 appears
and suggests that piper doesnt eat the apple
the AOD says that nothing in this place is destined and that both of them there are beyond the grand design
piper asks where they are and what the aod does there
the AOD says they are in a mistake a place that should not exist. a magical construct to attempt to recreate something lost
The AOD takes the apple from piper
and says she was searching for a way out of there for a long time
she is probably there for months
piper talks about the woman that send her there (neena)
and the angel of destiny starts explaining to piper like how leo explains to the sisters
Leos story now continues
the woman shared that power with her mate and it changed them, made them immortal and invulnerable
it bonded them forever to one another and to the ALL creating a state beyond consciousness beyond the known univerce
that place is called the higher realm
a place of pure utter bliss that they shared with the ALL
but their presence there affected the earth their magical bond contained the ALL in the higher realm
the world started to die
now we are in the upper regions where the war between neena and the elders continues
many elders are dead
leo continues the story
the only way to save earth was for the woman and her mate to seperate their powers
to allow the power of the all to flow freely again
Meanwhile in the upper regions Neena is winning
elders are retreating
thousands of demons go to the gates of the upper regions
neena and rennek too
the elders barricade themselves in the gates
and elder shouts
CLOSE THE GATES, KYLE
we see kyle opening the gates
the elder thanks kyle for letting them in
but says that this is not a permanet solution , kyle shouldnt be here, he hasnt moved on
neena tells a huge goblin like demon to make sure the elders dont pass, the name of the demon or the species is IMPEDIMENTIA
neena says she has things to do before they regroup
leo continues the story
the woman and man forced to abandon the higher realm
never to return again

leo says that this story is the basis of many belief systems (its obvious it is adam and eve but he never says it)
leo continues the story:
once back on earth the woman gave birth to a pair of children
that were concieved while she was in the higher realm
the first child had powers like her mother just not so strong, it is from this child that natural born witches came
the second child was born with the same abilities but he used the magic for dark purposes and that gave rise to warlocks
paige tells that she thought warlocks were just witches that turn bad
but leo says that while some witches turn bad and become warlocks
some are born that way too
the other children that came later had no powers to speak of but they and their descendants could tap into the magic as magic practitioners
and those are how humans were made probably
in very rare cases these non magical descendants can give birth to a full witch but this can upset the grand design
leo says that the warren family didnt just come into the magic but are part of Neenas bloodline
now we go back to piper and AOD
the AOD says that the place they are in is an attempt that neena did to recreate the higher realm
but she failed
piper asks why the AOD didnt try to stop her
but the AOD says that there are beings that even AODs cant touch
suddenly there is an earthquake
piper and AOD run for their lives and the earth cracks
swallowing the tree
a mysterious figure still watches them both from the distance
the AOD holds the last apple
the AOD says that a person cant create an alternate plane of existance without a few side effects (earthquake)
she then says the first witch exists outside of the grand design
mysterious figure still watches them all the time
the AOD say that they can only witness Neenas actions but not change them
she then says that she is very sorry for doing that to Piper
she takes a bite from the apple
and dissapears
then paige asks leo where the guy is now ,neenas mate
leo says that Neenas mate eventually returned to the higher realm
leo continues the story
everytime a witch is born she inherits a tiny piece of the ALL
not a lot but just enough to have an active power
with every new descendant the ALL began to weaken it was spread too thin
it needed to reclaim some of the magic it had lost, it needed on of the two to return
so neenas mate returned to the higher plane
but he didnt abandon her, not by choice.one day he was just gone
and she was alone for the first time in forever
they had no control over what happened to them
his return to the higher realm had become part of the grand design
the elders were forced to make a decision. they chose her mate to go to the higher realm and not neena
as we all know you dont mess with the grand design
while leo says that
the mysterious figure appears in from of piper giving her an apple

Ok so is this what happened? There was humans all along. Then neena (a human) found a giant nexus(except it was all over the world and not just in the basement of the charmed ones) called the all. This gave her loads of magic powers(stronger then the CO?). She shared this with her husband who then became connected with the giant nexus and her. Then they created a different realm full of happiness and bliss. Here they concieved twins although they had not yet been born. Then the world was being destroyed as neena and her husband forced the all to stay in the higher realm so the elders made them return to earth along with the all. Here their twins were born. One a natural witch and another a natural warlock.They had loads of powers too but not as much as neena. These two children then created the witch/ warlock lines. However they were not immortal like their parents so they died. However after thousnads of years the witch and warlock lines had grown to big (and the all gave a piece of itself to everyone witch/warlock born) After thousands of years it had been spread too thin so the elders knew they had to make one of the two (neena and her husband) return to the higher plane and use the loads of power given to them when they connected to the all to help the all. The elders choose the guy randomly and so he was forced back there where he helped the all to survive and grant more witches and warlocks power. Then neena was alone. Also neenas line was supposed to be the only witches/warlocks but other non humans not connected to the all were given powers too creating other witch families?

im sure its not cole, he was born on 1800+. Neena is the oldest creature along with her mate, definately not Cole. He Mate somehow dissapeared and a have a theory on how he may . Its only a theory of mine and is not included in the issue.
MY THEORY:
the elders chose neena to stay on earth and her mate to return to the higher place . this is stated in the issue. Also we know that with every new magical creature that is born a little something from the ALL is given to each new magical being that it is born. Neenas mate contained half the ALL. It is stated that sometime Neenas mate dissapeared but we dont know when. My theory is that centuries and centuries of new supernatural beings passed and eventually HALF the ALL got depleted. Because Neenas mate had half the ALL, when this half ALL vanished, Neenas mate vanished too.
I will also continue my theory and say that now in the modern times not much of the ALL is left. And that means that if all the ALL is depleted Neena will probably perish too since she contains the rest of the ALL. So i think Neena's goal is actually not to die so thats why she is trying to recreate the higher plane (probably to bring her mate back too) but so far she has failed.

I find it interesting that Piper and Cole often come across each other. In the television series, Piper and Cole had an episode together, and now an issue together. I wonder if Paul used this as his inspiration. It would be interesting to see Cole and Paige's chemistry together.

actually its not an issue of them together, its only one panel, but he will probably interact with only Piper in the next issue, i dont think he wants to disturb phoebe again.
About paige i think there may be interaction but probably a very typical one. They dont actually like each other hehe.
Also i think both sisters (if paige sees cole too) will hide that fact that they saw cole.

I have a theory about Cole's presence: in "The Seven Year Witch" he says he's caught in a void between Life and Death, and that's kinda what the Higher Realm was, in a way, or at least Neena's failed attempt at recreating the Higher Realm is. That would explain why he was there.
The narration and accompanying imagery implied he was Neena's mate, which is absurd, since he was born in the 1800s, so I doubt he's Neena's mate.
I'm still not sure if I like Kyle still being alive - it takes away from the scene on the bridge, in my opinion. So Whitelighters are forced to move on if killed (again) by a Darklighter arrow but Elders have a choice? Seems a bit convenient. That wasn't explained very well - I hope they'll go over that in Issue #10.

It's nice to see cool back.I keep thinking how cool it would be if it turns out that where piper is,is the same place that they accidentally sent Prue in season two,when she went three that portal with one of the four horseman,by having both side together using there magic they could have tapped into the all and sent them there that would be awesome.But most likely not the case here I highly doubt it.
