Just read the review by Adam. I'm so confused. What the hell is Leo now?

  • #2

    charmedcomicfan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 05:40)

hmmm maybe adam didnt expplain it very well. perhaps when we read the whole issue we will understand. but even if it is not explained in #12 i am sure it will be in future issues.

    LeonardoWyatt (Saturday, 23 July 2011 05:42)

It said that Leo keeps some new powers, so now I'm all freaked out cause I thought Leo would be mortal for good now. And the thing at the end with Cole and Patty. I'm confused. Where is Prue? Was she even dead all this time? -__-

I wasn't going to get this issue, cause I didn't think it'll be any good, but I'm so ordering it in now and hopefully it should come sometime next week, instead when I order it on the day it's realeased it takes like two weeks >.<

Oh oh and when is the release date for Issue 12? Cause where I got the comics, it says July 27th, but it said August 3rd on here? xD

  • #5

    charmedcomicfan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 06:41)

lol how could you think that the second arc finale wouldnt be good? As for all the mysteries that this issue doesnt reveal, as you may have noticed paul does that all the time and then gives us answers in later issues. its perfect this way cause we die to know the answers and expect the next issues with more excitement.Im sure prue was dead. whho knows, maybe her spirit/ghost was kidnapped or something. we'll find in other issues.
august 3 is the tentative release date of issue 12 .its info given to me from zenescope

    Megawhatz (Saturday, 23 July 2011 07:45)

Wow i wonder if Prue's alive or dead????????

  • #7

    GC (Saturday, 23 July 2011 08:00)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Can I just say that I'm incredibly annoyed right now. I mean, I think it's awesome that Prue might actually be alive, not to mention I'm a huge Prue/Cole fan (they had chemistry, darn it!) so the fact that Cole is going to be the one finding Prue is awesome, BUT...I wanted to see her. I wanted to read about Paige meeting her. I wanted to see Piper and Phoebe finally reunited with her. I hope, I hope, I hope, the next story arc is exactly that, and ends with the sisters finally finding Prue. But it means I have to wait another 6 months to see if Prue returns. That's annoying when you've already waited TEN, seriously, TEN years for her return.

  • #8

    GC (Saturday, 23 July 2011 08:08)

Oh and this puts a whole new spin on what Cole is doing in the next arc. So my guess is that it's going to look like he's working against the sisters, when really he's using them to find Prue. Oh crap, now I'm all excited about this...

    eric (Saturday, 23 July 2011 08:16)

wow so is prue coming back.....that would be awsome

  • #10

yeah i think this issue definately hints a future appearence

  • #11

    sarah (Saturday, 23 July 2011 10:31)

i wonder mhebe [sorry if i didnt spell that right} prue will come back in a diffutent body but know its her soul mhebe we will see her as someone knew hmmmmm

  • #12

    charmedcomicfan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 10:37)

@sarah Nah i dont see that happening. the part about prue being reborn in a new body was a lie.

  • #13

    Kody (Saturday, 23 July 2011 10:51)

I'm still puzzled at Leos new powers... I thought he was gonna be neenas mate, but guess not... What happened to rennek?
Cole got out of the dimension easily, what is he now and gahhh so many questions!!

  • #14

    Adam Reisinger (Saturday, 23 July 2011 12:26)

It's never explicitly stated in the issue what exactly Leo is now, and I'm not sure we ever saw anything like him (feathered wings, flaming sword) on the series, though it's been awhile since I watched. I think Leo's new nature will be explored in a future issue.

  • #15

    MattThomas1992 (Saturday, 23 July 2011 12:55)

Didn't The Source have wings and a sword on his first appearance?

  • #16

    McDamon Evans (Saturday, 23 July 2011 14:22)

Prue´s mistery is easy: She died and, perhaps... her soul/spirit is lost. Perhaps she never arrived with her mon and Grams, or ... she arrived with them but later her soul/spirit disappear/lost/kidnap...

  • #17

    charmedcomicfan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 15:07)

i think her dissapearence happened somewhere between issues 5-11 because in issue 5 grams says she will tranfer the sisters news to patty and prue when she gets back. But of course we dont know if she lied again back then

  • #18

    Yexan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 15:58)

So patty and grams lied and siad she was reborn BUT BASED on the end Prue wasnt reborn and is prob still a spirit but lost somewhere. Why did they lie and make the CO's believe that they will see her alive again if shes still a spirit and dead?

  • #19

    GC (Saturday, 23 July 2011 18:00)

Actually, I'm betting because Patty sends Cole to find her, Prue IS alive, but in a different dimension or stuck in the past.

  • #20

    Yexan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 18:54)

    I hope shes alive

  • #21

    McDamon Evans (Saturday, 23 July 2011 19:14)

Sorry, but i don´t belive that Prue is alive... Shax killed her....

  • #22

    GC (Saturday, 23 July 2011 19:34)

Obviously she died, but that doesn't mean she's dead.

  • #23

    Yexan (Saturday, 23 July 2011 20:40)

@Mcdamon Evan - I know she died but what I meant is that I hope she was resurrected cus at the end of the issue a lot of people came up with the idea that prue wasn't reborn but her soul was missing. Instead I hope shes reborn but lost ssomewhere.

  • #24

    CarlosS (Saturday, 23 July 2011 22:00)

    i think this is awesome.
Prue is totally dead, she fullfiled her destiny as a sister keeping and protecting the family. But as a charmed one i dont think so. I think her spirit is lost but hasnt been for a long time i think she dissapears in recent issues, because if her soul was lost ever since she died, i dont think paty and penny would be so calm about it, not having prue there, or lying over this ten years.

My theory is they didnt told the sisters cuz they didnt wanted to alarm them or get them involved cuz it may be too dangerouse where she is. Or maybe cole has the tools or power to find her and the sisters doesnt.

AND FOR THE RECORD I LOVE THIS STORY CUZ IT MEANS PRUE WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK WITH SHANNEN DOHERTYS FACE. WHY?

    1. WRITERS WOULDNT HAVE WRITEN THIS STORY LINE IF THERE WAS NO WAY TO END IT WITH PRUE. ITS TOO RISKY AND DISAPOINTING FOR FANS, SO PRUE WILL BE BACK.
    2. WE HAVE SEEN SHANNEN PHOTOS IN COVERS AND BACK IN ISSUE 0
    3. WILL BE SHANNENS FACE CUZ WE ALL KNOW WE WOULD RATHER NEVER SEE PRUE AGAIN IF IS PLAYED BY SOMEONE ELSE. WE WANT SHANNEN.
    4. THIS COMICS ARE ALL WE EVER WANTED OUT OF CHARMED BY ITS FINAL SEASONS. THEY WONT DISAPONT.

I SO WANT TO SEE THE REUNION WITH PRUEEE! BEEN WAITING 10 FUCKING YEARRRS COME ONNNN :D

  • #25

    sephjames (Sunday, 24 July 2011 06:30)

Do they have the licensing rights to Shannen Doherty's image? And it's so obvious that Prue is coming back because it's basically one of the biggest reasons people are reading the series. It's not the only reason I'm reading but I know Prue is coming back. I just hope she has Shannen Doherty's image.

    p3nathan (Sunday, 24 July 2011 07:09)

I can't believe there are still some people crying that Prue wasn't shown! This is so much better than that!! Sounds like she'll turn up, but as I said in the first place, seems like Paul has a really cool storyline to go with it. This is 10 times better than Prue turning up and saying "hey, yeah it's been a while, but you can see me now, no problem". It never really made sense when they could see Grams and Patty... but it looks like it's going to. I'm very excited :)

    Prudence (Sunday, 24 July 2011 13:07)

OMG! I hope the Angel of Destiny or someone does the sisters a favor by giving Prue a corporeal form :3 I'm so excited!!!!!

  • #35

    GC (Wednesday, 27 July 2011 20:19)

Something that has always burned me was the way Kern tried to make us forget about Prue and the role she played in Charmed. I think if the season 7 finale proved anything, it's that there were plenty of ways the sisters could have communicated with Prue without Shannen appearing. Example, in Charmed Again, when Piper and Phoebe cast the enchantment spell on the glasses, Phoebe thanks Grams, but Piper asks if couldn't be someone else. But we never hear about this again. Another example, Penny and Patty have both sent messages to the girls through the book, so why couldn't we have had an episode where Prue guides Paige through messages in the book? Third example, when Eva casts her spell to vanquish the gypsy killer, orbs appear and she says she feels her mother. Um...why couldn't that have happened when the girls vanquished the Source? It's just that there are so many little things that could have been done and they weren't. So, I have high hopes for this next story arc, that's all. As annoyed as I am that Prue didn't appear, the fact that the next story arc will start focusing on Cole finding her, makes me a little less ticked off about the way she went out in the series.

    StoryGirl83 (Thursday, 28 July 2011 00:14)

I suspect Paul both understands and agrees with our frustration about Prue. The difference is he can do something about it and he knows his plans. So presuming Prue is coming back (which I do presume at this point) he knows about it and he knows how and when it will happen, so he doesn't have to wonder, which makes the wait easier on him.

Honestly (and I am a huge Prue fan), I am glad that Prue wasn't in this episode. I want the leadup. I want the story behind her return. I want it to lead us on a fascinating journey that ends in Prue. We know the real life reason we never saw Prue on the show, now I want a better one for the in universe reason why we never saw her and the implications are there. I think we will get a very good inuniverse reason for why we never saw her. And I can't wait.

I am thrilled that the elder's plan failed. And it even looks like none of her kids "special" any more. I wonder if that will effect any of their powers. So much of Wyatt's magical identity was wrapped up in his being twice blessed and it appears that this is gone now.

In addition, my complete disappointment about Leo chosing not to become a whitelighter in "The Heir Up There" was mulified quite a bit in whatever happened to him. I can't wait to learn more about that.

It was wonderful to see the Halliwell ancestors and especially Melinda Warren. This issue, more than any before, makes me excited to see what is to come. I am glad of the resolution for Neena. She didn't deserve it, but I'm glad of it.

Could it be reasonable to become dubious of the whole occupation due to a couple of poor celery? You will find a minimum of 2 essential variations, it appears in my experience. Very first, nobody uncertainties which technology really works, what ever wrong as well as deceptive declare might every once in awhile end up being provided. However regardless of whether you will find any kind of "miraculous" remedies through faith-healing, past your body's personal capability to remedy by itself, is extremely a lot from concern. Next, the actual expose' associated with scams as well as mistake within technology is created nearly solely through technology. However the publicity associated with scams as well as mistake within faith-healing is nearly in no way carried out through additional faith-healers.

    JoshingAbout (Thursday, 28 July 2011 09:24)

This was a wonderful issue! Possibly my favourite. The story was simply amazing, and the twists were perfect. When Patty and Penny told the girls that Prue's soul had been reincarnated to its next life, I was thinking: "What a cop out! ARGH! Now we'll never get to see Prue =[" but Patty's revelation of her missing daughter on the last frame made my jaw hit the floor!

I think I'm in love with Paul Ruditis. He's doing SO much justice to Charmed. I cannot wait to find out what is happening with Prue! The next arc looks to top this one!

I'll be slightly disappointed if Wyatt loses his advanced Twice-Blessed powers (as the force-field was always a favourite of mine), but I'll be glad if Melinda loses her orbed telekinesis, as I didn't like that too much :P

That pencils were okay (Dean Kotz still isn't a favourite) but they were better than Issue #9, but Jorge Maese's colouring really makes the issue stand out. I REALLY want him to be the colourist of the entire series xD

@StoryGirl83 - What do u mean Pipers kids lost their special powers??????

  • #41

    StoryGirl83 (Thursday, 28 July 2011)

@Megawhatz123 - Actually, what I said was the lost their special status (as twice blessed, potentially power of three, probably King Author, unless that's literally his past life, which was never clear), not that they did loose their special powers. I'm just wondering if they did loose any of their powers as a result, since they would no longer need any connected to prophecies and destinies. So it's more me wondering. I could find the exact lines I am referencing if you would like.

  • #43

    Tyler (Thursday, 28 July 2011 17:09)

I hope melinda's powers change. I depise the fact that all of piper's kids are ''whitelighters''.
And, I understand everyone's constant need for prue to return, but the storyline is good WITH or withOut her. Paige has finally seperated her identity from her sisters, as she said in "Torn Idenity", so bringing prue back to PHYSICAL life would be practically insane, so if she is a lost spirit, find her, have a little reunion, but leave her in the spirit world where she belongs with her dead ancestors, and move on to other issues. =)

  • #44

    Prudence (Friday, 29 July 2011 04:22)

    Just a theory...

What if Prue became a whitelighter? :O

  • #45

    charmedcomicfan (Friday, 29 July 2011 04:25)

grams would have mentioned it when she and patty talked with the girls after prues death. somebody becomes a whitelighter immediately after his death

  • #46

    PrinceCharmed (Friday, 29 July 2011)

That's probably what's going to happen.

My guess is that Prue is still DEAD, but someone kidnapped her soul (or something like that). Maybe her soul was supposed to be reincarnated, but was lost in the process. However, that wouldn't make any sense, since Prue was mentioned before as being in the afterlife.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

  • #47

    sephjames (Friday, 29 July 2011 09:11)

This issue was really good! Dean Kotz uses a blue aura to depict Phoebe using her levitation, which I loved. Also, in this issue Piper uses molecular combustion and Kotz depicts through orange explosions, like Dave Hoover, so we now know that in issue #9, Piper was using Molecular acceleration to light the fire in the alternate realm because Dave's depicts this power with a white aura, which is different from how he depicts Molecular combustion in issue #12.

  • #48

    sephjames (Friday, 29 July 2011 09:14)

Whoops! I meant that **Dean depicts Molecular acceleration with a white aura in issue #9, which is different from how he depicts Molecular combustion in issue #12.

  • #49

    charmedcomicfan (Friday, 29 July 2011 09:19)

Paul himself twitted it was combustion in issue 9.

  • #50

power of three (Friday, 29 July 2011 10:10)

@sephjames you have right about the colorful auras but we can't do anything for that because paul told us that was combustion... also piper used combustion in season 8 to make a fire the same way she did in issue 9.

  • #51

    David (Friday, 29 July 2011 12:42)

I wasn't crazy about the artwork and just like issue 5, things got resolved far too quickly. But I'm glad Neena's gone, she was interesting at first but she was starting to get on my nerves and I don't think Paul explored the first witch thing as well as he could have.

That said, I loved the final bit between Patty and Penny and Cole. I wasn't crazy about Prue returning but it looks like its on the horizon and I like the mysterious way Paul is going about it.

  • #52

    sephjames (Friday, 29 July 2011 16:45)

@charmedcomicfan and powerofthree: I twitted Paul and asked him and he responded "Fred", he was obviously joking, and he never named Molecular combustion, Fred. Also, in season 8 she used molecular combustion but it was harder for her because she had to prep and everything as you can tell by the episode; however, Piper just uses molecular acceleration to create fires and melt things, easily. Molecular combustion is primarily used for exploding things.

It doesn't say, but I'm guessing that it's the matriarchs, the (plus Patty since she was never a matriarch). And more than likely, they didn't attempt to make the proper number there. It's most likely just representative of all of those who likely where there. Probably had some of them just outside the picture.
