Trivia from Issue #4 hours
Adam Reisinger's review + Issue #4 plot (MAJOR SPOILERS)
Here is the review
And now here is the plot as written by Adam Reisinger (with minor edits) :
In the manor, Paige and Phoebe are taking care of their mortal innocents, while the magic-wielding ones are with Leo at Magic School. In the underworld, the Source is using Hogan's discord power to turn all mortals against the Charmed Ones, and as Paige and Phoebe go upstairs to the attic, we see that playing out in the eyes of the innocents. Meanwhile, Piper is scouting locations for her new restaurant. After a couple pages of bad locations, she finally comes across the right one, and that's when her real estate agent attacks her, falling under the discord spell. Back in the manor, the mortals are restless downstairs, so Phoebe and Coop go to investigate, leaving Paige with Henry. Henry tries choking Paige to death, but she's able to tele-orb a lamp into his head, knocking him out. Phoebe and Coop run back up to the attic, escaping the horde. Piper is in a knock-down, drag-out fight with her real estate agent, who seems to be getting more powerful as the fight goes on. Back in the underworld, The Source is ready to make his next move, leaving Hogan and Neena behind to work on "more important things". Phoebe, Coop, Paige and Henry have retreated to magic school, where Henry is free from the spell (because of Magic Schools protection), and feeling guilty for what he did, but Paige doesn't want to talk about it and tells him that it wasnt his fault. Piper is frantically driving home, with the whole city out to get her. She gets to the manor and sees all the possessed mortals, but before she can even get worried about that, The Source shows up -- right as Paige and Phoebe orb in. The Source re-introduces himself to the Charmed Ones and tosses some fire balls, which Paige eventually blocks with her orb shield and Phoebe dodge by levitating. As The Source tosses an enormous fireball at the girls, Piper uses a new power which melts the street, holding The Source in place long enough for Paige to orb them back to Magic School (narrowly avoiding the huge fireball). Back at Magic School, the ladies fill the guys in on who's back, Leo explains that the Source keeps coming back because every time they destroy his demon form but not his essence. Then they all stand resolute in their determination to put an end to The Source of All Evil... for good.
1rst review : TFAW (last issue to be reviewed)
Al Rio's cover (bigger image/ resolution)
Now that we previewed 2,5/3 of the issue dont you think that this cover is just random?
Preview like you havent previewed before : Charmed #4 previews
Don't read further if you dont want to be spoiled.
The previews have no dialogue but a picture can tell a lot.
I love the new previews. Marcio Abreu's style is amazing and the likeness of the girls is awesome. Milen Parvanov seems to have changed his colouring style.
Marcio told me: Now I am more familiar with the charmed ones . In Charmed #5 they are more similar.
Now about the plot. Note that this may contain mistakes because this is what i understood from the previews. When we see the dialogue maybe some things i have written here will be wrong:
The Source seems to be using Hogan's power of Rage Projection to cast a spell to all the innocents of San Fransisco.
Many innocents have gathered in the Manor.
Piper is attacked by a woman who is affected by Source's spell. Piper uses molecular immobilization on her after having battled hand to hand.
Paige is attacked by Henry. She is forced to use telekinetic orbing and she leaves him unconscious.
Piper is driving her SUV and is followed by a biker and the police.
Phoebe and Coop are attacked by the innocents in the Manor.
Piper arrives to the Manor only to find chaos. Paige and Phoebe orb out of the Manor. The Source destroys the police car and then attacks the charmed ones with fireballs. The charmed ones dodge the attacks, Paige uses Orb Shield.
Piper seems to be using a new power that limits the Source's movement by melting the whole road.
The Source creates a huge fireball, the girls join hands and orb away. The last page is not revealed and thus their fates are unknown.
Paige has turned back to brunette and Phoebe has shorter hair. The Magic School can be seen. Also a family photo of Piper, Leo and their kids can be seen. There is no sign of Leo and the kids.
Charmed #4 covers with logos + Al Rio's cover coloured
The issue will be available this Wednesday December 15.
3 days left people !
Limited to 500 copies cover for Charmed #4
Previews on their way + Volume 1 possible release date
I emailed Zenescope about Charmed #4 previews and this is the reply:
I guess we will have them on Monday or Tuesday since the issue is released on Wednesday.
Also thanks to rbn we may have a release date for volume 1.
Amazon says it will be released January 15 2011.
It is not official but it seems logical.
Release Dates for : Charmed #5 and #6
Here are the updated release dates:
Desperately Seeking Piper
Paul Ruditis tweeted:
Then he selected the winning fan-title:
Then Holly Marie Combs replied:
Paul Ruditis also tweeted:
So the temporary and not official title for issue #9 is Desperately Seeking Piper until Paul reveals the real one. This name is reminiscent of the title of a movie starring Madonna - Desperately Seeking Susan.
Paul Ruditis decides not to reveal issue #9 title
First of all he confirmed the release date:
He then twitted:
Holly finds it Brilliant
Well thats a category i havent updated in ages: "Holly, Alyssa and Rose talk about the comics"
In twitter i asked Holly Marie Combs what she thinks of Issue #9 cover.
She replied to me: Ha! Brilliant!
Seidman corrected Phoebe's hair and face
The Waiting is NOT over . Issue 4 available December 15th
I got a reply from the director of marketing of Zenescope:
Charmed #9 Summary and covers
At last some big news!
When i saw "a family member is lost" i was shocked but it possibly means that Piper is lost in Neena's portal.
I am really interested to see what this ancient secret is!
This summary is possibly a smaller version of a bigger one like what happened with the summary of Issue #8.
I love the cover, Seidman did a great job again. Piper is the best drawn and Paige is really good. I think the proportion of Phoebe's head or hair is not exact but the likeness of the girls is awesome.
The spell written in the photo cover is the protection spell tha Serena casted in Something Wicca This Way Comes.
David Seidman is now working on Charmed #10 cover. He twitted:
Marcio Abreu new charmed illustration
Marcio Abreu wrote in deviantART:
Is that a new power for Phoebe or is it electromental ignition from the morality bites episode? Do these vines and flowers represent something?
I am not sure what i think about this illustration yet. I think they look too "muscular"?? and the likeness is not so good. Hmm.
Marcio told me about this:
Lets wait for the previews.
The sketch is clearly inspired by season 8 promo shoot
More of Dave Hoover's sketches on ebay
You can bid on the first 4 pages of issue #2 here
Raven and Ralph talk about Charmed from 13:34
but if you are interested in Zenescope titles generally listen to all the interview.
I personally listened to the part from 12:00 - 17:00 and i dont know if they talked more about Charmed from 17:00 and later so if you have the time and are interested to listen it all tell us where else Charmed is mentioned.
As for charmed the interesting part is when they talk about cross-overs.
The interview is posted here
Issue #9 cover update
David Seidman said after he was asked when he will reveal Issue #9 cover:
We may not have gotten big news these days but the last days of November and early December we will get new previews, new Issue and new cover !
Max Franklin's cameo
The innocent listening to the ipod when Phoebe enters the Manor is indeed Max Franklin.
As for the woman and child they are generic innocents not specific ones.
Paul Ruditis confirmed it :
Max's cameo seems to be one of these.
It's Trivia Time
Since we dont have big news for many days i thought i could post some trivias collected in the charmed wiki by me and other charmed wiki contributors like GlennVp.
These forces of evil are bent on destruction, tearing apart the Halliwell family, and possibly keeping Piper from ever opening her restaurant.
A message from Marcio Abreu (updated)
When i asked him if he is a charmed fan he replied:
This is what Marcio Abreu told me after i asked him if the release date is December, when he will show us some previews and told him about the fansite:
Grab some Raven Gregory signed issues + Al Rio sells his unused cover
Al Rio unused cover
Al Rio posted an unused cover of charmed #0 in his website.
This is the reason why this cover was rejected as written by him:
Find the cover here
Can i say that i love Phoebe in this unused cover better than the published's one?
New cover for Charmed volume 1? Possibly no.
I asked David Seidman:
Charmed #4 release date
This is what tfaw.com told me in twitter:
Dave Hoover visits us again. More sketches on e-bay
Dave Hoover visited us again leaving this comment:
Here are the sketches Dave is seling on e-bay this week. Just type "charmed comics" on e-bay and you will find them. The sketches will be signed by Dave too.
No Issue #5 by Dave Hoover. Marcio Abreu will do the interiors for this issue too
Dave Hoover sent me in deviantart:
I find it unfair that zenescope didnt pay him and i hope the best for him in his next projects!
Thank you very much for these 3 issues and for bringing charmed back to us.
On the other hand Marcio Abreu confirmed to me that he will also do the interiors for Charmed #5. He said:
Charmed #4 was expected today but will be delayed
This article here says that charmed #4 was expected to be released today November 5th but it will delay
Charmed Issue #1 video with sound effects
Charmedseason9comics made another video with sound effects for issue #1
Charmed Issue #2 with sound effects
Just amazing. charmedseason9comics at youtube made these 2 amazing videos.
Is is Issue #2 with sound effects for freezing, orbing, premonition, rain, crying babies, underworld and more.
I just loved it. You should all subscribe to him.
Ralph Tedesco talks charmed
Here is an interview with Ralph Tedesco,Zenescope's co-founder and vice-president.
He says some things about how charmed comics came to be.
Well something new we learn in this interview is that they were trying to get the rights for 2 years.
Sam: A big part of what a lot of independent companies are doing today is getting into licensing. For the last few months you guys at Zenescope have been doing a Charmed comic! How did that book come to happen?
Ralph: It was something that’s been in the works for a long time. When we started talking to Warner Brothers about the rights we had to go through some different channels. We had to make sure that the girls were on board with the likeness right because we needed to do that in order to do the series the right way. If we didn’t have the likenesses it was not going to work. We had to sit for a little while to make sure that Warner Brothers reached out to all the girls and worked everything out. It was one of those things that we worked our way up to over the course of a couple of years. Charmed seemed to fit in with our wheelhouse. There are three strong female characters, which is what they do. They are all attractive, which helps. It just seemed to fit into our line of books and would have a fan following because Charmed is such a popular TV series and it would make for a great comic.
Charmed volume 1 available this christmas
Here is an interview with Joe Brusha, Zenescopes president.
If you want to read it all and learn more from zenescope see the whole interview here
The questions posted here concern only charmed.
Q’s by Ambush Bug
A’s by Zenescope President Joe Brusha
BUG: Tell me about some of the upcoming projects. I’ve noticed a lot of CHARMED posters around here. Do you want to talk about that?
JB: Sure, CHARMED picks up where the TV series left off, so CHARMED Season 9. It’s been received really well, we’ve been selling a lot of books, a lot of comic book fans and non-comic book fans just love the series, and so we’re really excited for that. We have issue #2 or #3 out, and the first trade will be out in December, just in time for Christmas. So it’s going really well for us.
BUG: In sake of continuity, do you guys have collaboration with people from the show?
JB: Yes so the writer who is writing it, Paul Rudiltis, has written the CHARMED novels, the YA (Young Adult) novels, so he knows the CHARMED universe. I don’t know much about CHARMED, my wife is really into it, my daughter. So that is how we got the idea for it. But he knows the universe like the back of his hand. He picked it up so well that I don’t think there is any problem with continuity.
BUG: Have you heard any reactions for the actresses of CHARMED on how they are being depicted?
JB: I mean it’s all been pretty positive. A couple from Holly Marie Combs, I don’t know if any of the others have tweeted about it. But they seem pretty happy about the way they look in the books. So I think Alyssa Milano had some good things to say about it.
New summary for issue #8 changes a lot of our speculations (SPOILERS)
Here is the new summary provided by www.boompanda.com
So much info in this summary.
I will dare and speculate that the baby that Paige saves is Henry Jr. She later adopts him since the mother is dead. Henry possibly suggests they adopt it (that explains the title). This major twist also explains the title pun. It's a huge and maybe wrong speculation but i think it fits.
More than 12 issues? No news yet.
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis:
Issue #8 title pun
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis about issue #8 title pun:
Then Paul Ruditis replied with an url:
This is what i found at the wiki page of O.Henry :
So in my opinion issue #8 will have a surprise/twist ending.
Think you can figure something more from his bio, maybe something that fits? Share your thoughts.
Extra features officially confirmed
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis:
Paul Ruditis answered:
Dave Hoover sketches at ebay
Charmed #4 previews
Marcio Abreu told me in deviantART that previews for Charmed #4 are coming soon.
I am definately excited to see them.
Charmed #8 title + some analysis
Paul Ruditis tweeted charmed #8 title:
As for the synopsis these lines hint that Paige and Phoebe are both pregnant by this time:
A pregnancy can sure hold them back from fighting.
Thanks to David from the shadow network forum who noticed that.
What Marcio Abreu is currently doing
Marcio Abreu wrote in deviantart:
That means he will continue doing the interiors for Charmed and that he is now working on Phoebe's oneshot.
Maybe if Dave Hoover draws charmed #5 and Abreu draws charmed #6 simultaneously we will get the issues sooner.
Issue #8 covers and synopsis (SPOILERS)
An Innocent homeless teen in San Francisco falls victim to a stray arrow during the Darklighter’s attack on a Whitelighter. Neena finally reveals herself to the Charmed Ones and Phoebe and Paige want to stay to fight, but will they be able to?
I wonder why the summary includes only Paige and Phoebe. Where is Piper?
And who is that child in Seidman's cover? Is it Henry Jr? Or does it have to do with "the heir up there"?
The Darklighter seems to be the next antagonist since his storyline began in issue #7.
Hogan seems to not be mentioned again. Maybe that means he is vanquished.
Marcio Abreu is credited in January Charmed #8 solicitations. That means he will continue from Issue #6 and on.
My One-Shot wishlist
The only one-shot confirmed so far is Issue #6 Phoebe's one-shot having to do with the events of Morality Bites.
Here is my wishlist:
Who wouldnt be interested to see a Prue One-shot.
As for the storyline i would like if it focused in the moment right after her death showing the Angel of Death taking her and then how she adjusted in her afterlife with the help of Grams and Patty (and maybe Andy).
Everyone loves Cole but i think he didnt actually get the finale he deserved in charmed. I mean being stuck between life and death sucks.
I would like if his storyline had to do with him finally finding peace and redemption in the afterlife.
We may not see her soon in the comics but a One-Shot would be really interesting. I think she deserves it after being a regular in season 8.
Her story could focus around her trying to get over her sister's death and maybe some new adventures in Los Angeles.
Patty is the mother of the charmed ones and a key character in charmed.
A one-shot about her can focus around the events of Paige's birth or maybe around her love with her whitelighter Sam.
Darryl was an inspector and one of the charmed one's best friend and ally. His storyline ended in season 7 finale and after that he moved East Coast with his family.
The only idea i can think for his one-shot is him getting rescued by Billie from one of Neena's and Hogan's minions and maybe considering the possibility of moving back to San Francisco.
Actually for me Kyle was an interesting character and i was relieved when he became a whitelighter. As for his One-shot i would like to see his adventures as a whitelighter helping some charges and maybe talking again or even helping Paige with a charge.
THE SOURCE OF ALL EVIL
He is the most feared opponent of the charmed ones always finding a way to come back.
In a possible future one-shot i would like to see his origins like how he was created in the first place.
Zankou proved himself to be one of the most worthy opponents of the charmed ones. In his oneshot i would like to see his fight with the Source years before which resulted to his imprisonment in the underworld. His story could also involve Kyra who was hinted as his past love interest.
Since Issue #0 featured him sketched he may also return in season 9. His one shot may focus on how he managed to return.
More One shot ideas from me:
Piper, Paige, Future Wyatt, Leo, Elders, Grams.
More oneshot ideas from Storygirl :
Andy, Leo, Henry, Coop, Grams, Patty & Sam, Melinda Warren, the 20s cousins (with names), Chris "Perry", Ava (w/ other Gypsies), Kevin, Victor (maybe how he first learned his wife was a witch).
Share you oneshot wishlists!
Empathy is back
You asked for it so here it is, the panel where Phoebe gains back her empathy.
I believe it is a clever idea to show empathy by the use of auras around the characters.
So if pink is for love maybe in future issues we will see red for hate and other colours representing a feeling.
Charmed #4 release date
According to a charmed fan who emailed zenescope charmed #4 will be in stores late November.
Why that late? Maybe it has to do with the change of interior artist.
Check out this link at ebay here
It is a promo poster of the charmed comics from book expo 2010.
The price is low so if you are a hardcore fan like storygirl or matt you may want to obtain it.
Not much time left to bid so hurry!
Charmed #8 cover coming next week
David Seidman will reveal his new cover for charmed #8 next week. It will feature Paige as the main character.

There are profiles for every named character in the charmed comics informing about their powers/status/species and story in the comics.
Here it is: character profiles
I know there will be some mistakes but i will correct them as soon as i can. Also you can comment in the new category. That was it hope you like it.
Raven Gregory tfaw Interview
He doesnt reveal anything new but its still nice to read it.

Here are the questions concerning charmed:
TFAW.com: The Charmed comics have been hugely successful–there are a lot of happy fans out there. How did you prepare to launch the series?
RG: We really tried our best to get the word out to all the Charmed fans out there. The actresses themselves were cool enough to tweet about the series on their Twitters and I think that helped a lot. But mostly it was just getting the word out. The rest was the fact that Charmed fans themselves passionately love the series, so it was a pretty easy sell to get fans to come back and follow the adventures of their favorite witches.
TFAW.com: Were you a Charmed fan before you signed on as co-writer?
RG: Of course. But I really didn’t have a choice in the matter. My wife watched the show faithfully, and after a while I had no choice but to watch. I really enjoy that beyond the powers and monsters and demons it really is a story about family, and that’s what gets the writer in me.
TFAW.com: What can you tell us about Charmed #4?
RG: HE’S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TFAW.com: What has it been like collaborating with first-time comic book writer Paul Ruditis?
RG: It was a lot of fun. We didn’t always agree on where the story should go, but everything that came out of those discussions led to a better product in the end. Paul’s on his own now, but I still love what he’s doing on the series.
TFAW.com: Do you have a favorite sister or character?
RG: It’s a toss-up between Phoebe and Prue.
TFAW.com: Will Prue come back? Tell us!
RG: Prue? That’s not a name I’m familiar with.

Paige centered issue? (issue #8 cover info)
After i asked David Seidman if he has finished the cover for Issue #8 he replied:
Hmm maybe this is the equality that Paul talked about?
Issue #6 cover has Phoebe then issue #7 cover has Leo/Piper and now issue #8 cover will have Paige (Rose Mcgowan) as the main character.
I personally look forward to see it. Paige is my favorite charmed one!
Tfaw contest is over
The contest is over:
Good Luck to all of us who participated! There will be 25 winners!
I was re-reading issue #3 and look what i found:
Tyler is reading a comic book.
This comic book he is reading is THE WAKING, written by Raven Gregory.
You can clearly see the cover.
Win a copy of Charmed #1 signed by Paul Ruditis
This is what tfaw.com twitted:
The Charmed Ones return in Zenescope Entertainment’s best-selling Charmed comics! Both new and returning fans have been loving the continuing adventures of Piper, Phoebe, and Paige, from longtime Charmed novelist Paul Ruditis–so much so that we completely sold out of Charmed #1.
However, in honor of TFAW’s Zenescope Month, you can win your very own copy, signed by writer Paul Ruditis, by entering our Charmed Twitter Contest. You could win one of three different covers chosen at random–the image to the right is just one example.
From 10/12 through 10/16, we’ll be giving away five signed copies of Charmed #1 each day, for a total of 25 copies!
Here’s how to enter:
Enter as many times as you like for more chances to win! The contest will run through October 16, with the winners announced via Twitter on October 18!
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis:
Paul Ruditis replied:
Equal balance means one shots for each sister? Who knows.
Marcio Abreu replies
After i asked him on what issues he will work on he told me:
Zenescope exclusives in VA comic con.
Here is the announcement
Known worldwide as the publisher of comics based on media as diverse as Charmed and Final Destination to the finest in Horror comics all the way to their fan favorite and critically acclaimed titles Return to Wonderland and Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Zenescope Entertainment will be joining the VA Comicon at our November show!
We are also excited to announce a Zenescope VA Comicon variant cover will be available at the show! See you there!
Maybe we will see a new exclusive for charmed?
Some interior art from Marcio Abreu
This is not charmed interior art.
I found these on his blog.
I post them so we have an idea on how charmed interior art style will look like.
According to Dave Hoover Marcio Abreu will do Charmed #4. Then Issue #5 will be made by Dave Hoover and that will be his last issue.
So the logical way is that issue #6 and forward will be done by Marcio Abreu.
His first sketch is really amazing great likeness. Lets hope this continues in the interiors.
The new Charmed comics interior art penciller
His name is Marcio Abreu and as he says in his deviantart he is currently working on Charmed #4.
Here is what he said in his blog. Can someone translate?
Here is a sketch he posted in deviantart. Probably a test sketch.
And here is his deviantART account: DEVIANTART
P.S i love that fact that he has a .gif of paige orbing an energy ball in his profile.
The Source (SPOILERS)
I saw in the comments that you want a preview of the Source.
So here he is having nothing to do with his previous forms.
He probably is super powerfull (maybe thats why the charmed ones gain back or gain new powers)
Availability News - Netherlands

New previews from the interview by Tfaw (SPOILERS)
Notice that the previews are old and some things like the BoS page have changed.
Paul commented on these previews:
The new preview shows us Paige's new power, an orb shield.
Also we see Tyler for the first time being attacked by a demon with a syringe.
New Interview with Paul Ruditis by tfaw.com
Here is the awesome interview
Also find the interview here
TFAW.com: Hi Paul, welcome to your TFAW.com interview!
Paul Ruditis: Thanks for having me. I know how much many of our readers love your site so I’m very glad to be here.
TFAW.com: Why don’t you tell us how you got involved with Charmed in the first place?
PR: I started out as a fan of the show, watching it like anyone else. Then a few years into the series, the company I worked for took over the product licensing. So for a brief period of time I oversaw the editorial duties for the studio on Charmed book line along with the spectacular editors at Simon Spotlight Entertainment.
A few years after I left my job, the editors at SSE were looking for someone to co-write the first official episode guide for the series and they came to me. I suspect the reasoning had as much to do my previous relationship with the show as it did with the fact that I’m in L.A. and I could drive to the set for interviews. From there I got involved in writing the novels based on the series, which eventually led me to Zenescope.
TFAW.com: What do you think attracted people to the Charmed TV series?
PR: I think the actresses and the fact that it was a Spelling TV show probably brought in the viewers in the beginning. Then the relationships between the characters is what kept them coming back. Sure, the magic and the villains were fun, but anyone that has ever watched the show talks more about the sisters, their family, and the relationships.
TFAW.com: How do you feel those aspects of Charmed translate to novels and comics?
PR: The novels were great because they allowed us to get into the character’s heads more. The writers could be more intimate with how the characters felt and how they interacted. As for the comic books, it presents an interesting challenge. You really have to focus on the core of the relationships and emphasize the moments in the story between the characters. The fight against evil will always move the stories, but the family and relationship threads will have to weave through everything we do.
TFAW.com: What are the biggest challenges (and the nicest benefits) to bringing the Charmed Ones to comics?
PR: The comic books are a more condensed form of storytelling, but they’re a way to actually see the adventures again beyond just the imagination. The best part is that we can expand on the visuals and the magic of the show, but still tell those smaller, family moments.
The challenge is that TV moves visually one way and comic book pages move in a completely different manner. We have to translate action that the fans are used to seeing onscreen to the page. This can’t always be a direct representation, but I think we’ve come up with some really great adaptations.
Our colorist, Milen Parvanov, has been really great at creating the orbing effect that Paige uses and the frozen rain to illustrate Piper’s power in issue #2. Milen has done some beautiful special effects to enhance the drawings even more.
TFAW.com: What would you say are the most interesting personality traits of Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige?
PR: I feel like this is a test. If I give the wrong answer the readers are going to be mad at me. But here we go . . .
Prue was the typical big sister. No-nonsense and determined. But with a softer side and some insecurity deep beneath the surface.
Piper’s an easy answer. Her mom referred to her as the heart of the family and that’s exactly what she is. She’s the glue that keeps her sisters together, especially in the early years.
Phoebe was very much the free spirit earlier in the series. She lost a bit of that in the later years when she became so focused on her vision of her future daughter. Now that she’s got that daughter, I think we’ll see some of that back, but it might take a little help.
Paige is the rebel. Of course, all the Charmed Ones have been somewhat rebellious considering the sometimes arbitrary rules they were forced to live under by the Elders. I definitely plan to address that as the comic book moves forward.
TFAW.com: Let’s get right to it: at the Charmed comics panel at SDCC, you guys showed us a photo of Shannen Doherty as Prue. Will she return in the comics?
PR: We’ll see. Or we won’t. Who can say?
TFAW.com: How do you think she and Paige would get along?
PR: Interesting question. Reminds me a lot of the readers following me on Twitter that ask leading questions trying to trick me into revealing spoilers [editor's note: Who, us?]. Hypothetically speaking, their relationship would probably be awkward at first. As it would be for anyone meeting an adult sibling you never knew before. Then again, we know from Grams that there’s a lot of spectral eavesdropping going on, so maybe Prue already knows a lot about her newest sister.
TFAW.com: Would there be disastrous consequences to having four Charmed Ones instead of three?
PR: I don’t know that “disastrous” is the word I’d use. Though I suspect there would have to be some kind of repercussions. The prophecy was about the Power of Three after all, not the Power of Four.
TFAW.com: The girls now have children and husbands in the comics–how much are you going to focus on their individual family lives?
PR: We’ll definitely be seeing family issues play out more in the later issues. Not so much on the kids, as the series really focused on that with Wyatt during the course of the show. But the girls’ marriages still have plenty of room to explore as far as I’m concerned.
TFAW.com: The girls’ romances were a big part of the Charmed TV series. Do you miss that, now that they’ve settled down?
PR: Your question seems to imply that married people can’t be romantic. Considering some of the extreme situations the Charmed Ones get into, I’m sure there will plenty of times that the readers will get to re-experience the love between them and their husbands as well as the challenges all relationships go through.
TFAW.com: Will Phoebe be regaining some of her powers, or developing new ones?
PR: Well, Phoebe already got one of her abilities back in issue #2. She is levitating at the end of it, after all. As for other powers for Phoebe and her sisters? You might want to check out issue #3.
TFAW.com: It looks like Hogan and Neena are working with an evil force for some nefarious purpose–and that all of the girls’ “innocents,” or people they’ve saved, are in danger. Why are the evildoers targeting them, specifically?
PR: That question will be answered very, very soon.
TFAW.com: What has it been like, collaborating with Raven Gregory for the first three issues? Besides him insisting on dragons (which are extinct, according to Charmed canon).
PR: Oh, Raven never insisted on dragons. That was something else entirely. No, Raven wants to destroy San Francisco. Personally, I feel it’s been done. I mean they had that big earthquake back in 1906. It would be redundant.
The collaboration has been great. We got past the initial awkwardness pretty fast. It’s weird to throw two people together that have never met and ask them to create something together. Raven and I have different approaches to writing, but we meshed really well. Once you get past all the politeness in the beginning and into the nitty gritty the creative takes over and you just kind of flow together.
TFAW.com: From issue #4 on out, you’re taking over writing duties by yourself, correct? What types of storylines do you want to create?
PR: Yes, but Raven’s not going too far. He’s still an editor on the project. The stories we’re creating will continue to build off what we’ve been doing all along. They are going to get a bit more personal in the initial issues after this arc. We’ve got a special one-shot planned focusing on Phoebe. It’s a sequel to the second season episode “Morality Bites” and will explore more of her character: who she is, who she’s become, and who she could be in the future. But the show has always maintained a balance between the sisters and I will continue to make sure that is reflected in the comics.
TFAW.com: Will you bring back any other characters from the TV show, like Billie?
PR: Of course. Issue #3 has one of their past innocents on the cover. But if you mean more of the recurring characters, I’d say that we’re definitely open to that. There are a lot of great characters in the series. The challenge is that you’ve already got so many leads with the three sisters and their husbands that it’s difficult to insert the recurring characters into the story without it feeling like they’ve been added randomly. For the most part any characters that return will be woven into the story in a logical way, but I’m not opposed to a random cameo or two just to give the fans a taste of what’s going on in everyone’s lives after the show ended.
TFAW.com: Is there someone you never want to bring back–a character you can’t stand?
PR: Not that I can think of. If anything, I’d love to bring back some characters that I thought may not have worked so well so that I can have a shot at writing them myself.
TFAW.com: Now that you’ve gotten a taste of writing comics, would you want to tackle any of the other series you’ve written novels for, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Alias?
PR: That would be great. I love working on media tie-ins. It gives me a chance to play some small, tangential part in my favorite shows. Now that I’ve got a taste of this writing style, I’d also love to create some original comics as well. Who knows? I’m open to anything.
TFAW.com: What’s it been like working with Zenescope?
PR: Zenescope has been terrific to work with. I’m incredibly impressed by what they’ve done building up their company and making a name for themselves in the five years they’ve been in business. This is such a difficult industry to succeed in and the fact that they’ve grown and now have ties to a popular series like Charmed is pretty impressive. I hope to do more projects with them in the future.
TFAW.com: You also write a lot of young adult novels, such as your DRAMA! series. YA literature has been getting a lot of attention lately: what do you like most about writing for this audience?
PR: They’re not as jaded as the audience for adult books. And this has nothing to do with age. I know a lot of adults that read YA and I’m including them when I talk about the audience. It’s a totally different mindset. Even some of the darkest young adult books have some element of hope about them. There’s a sort of wide-eyed willingness to believe that things will get better. A lot of characters in books for adults have this sort of “been there, done that” attitude that just doesn’t interest me. Not to say that all books for adults are like that, but there are a lot of them.
The Charmed audience is actually very much like a YA audience in that respect. Again, this is regardless of their age. The elements of the show that they gravitate towards are very much the same elements that I find most interesting about young adult books.
TFAW.com: What else do you have coming up that you’re excited about?
PR: Since you mentioned the DRAMA! series, I have to say that is the most exciting project at the moment. My publisher is bringing the first two books back as a special single bound edition in December. DRAMA! is one of my favorite projects I’ve ever written so I’m thrilled that it’s been given new life.
Beyond that, the publishing industry moves so slowly sometimes. I have some really fun projects in the works that I’ve been teasing for almost a year now, but I still can’t talk about them because they’re at that point where they may or may not happen. But Zenescope’s been keeping me busy and I’ve been developing my own original work so I hope to have some announcements before the end of the year.
Dave Hoover's reply about his departure from CHARMED
He sent me in deviantART:
CHARMED #3 is out today!
Its October 6.
That means CHARMED #3 is out.
Run like you havent run before and buy the new issue!
Paul Ruditis reply
After i asked him about the future of charmed now that Dave Hoover leaves he replied:
If Paul is happy with the direction the comics are going then i believe him!
I asked David Seidman about the future of CHARMED now that Dave Hoover leaves
Thanks god they will but either way with a new penciller they will change a lot artwise.
Reprinted cover for issue #1
Just a small update for the truly fanatics who want to have every cover (even slightly different) of Charmed.
The second printing of Issue #1 has a slightly different cover with a triquetra on the blackboard instead of the Charmed logo which has been moved to the bottom right of the cover.
Dave Hoover leaves CHARMED (now official)
Not good news guys.
Dave Hoover told me in deviantart that he is truly leaving charmed:
What is going to become with CHARMED? Will it stop? Will it be in a hiatus until a new artist is found? i have asked Paul and Dave for more details. For anything new i will update with a new post.
Isnt it truly ironic that Prue left Charmed in season 3 and now Dave Hoover and Raven Gregory leaves charmed in Issue #3?. 3 is an unfortunate number for CHARMED.
Here is a preview Dave Hoover posted in DeviantArt.
These are pages 2 and 3.
Here is what he commented:
Dave Hoover possibly leaving Charmed
In deviant art Dave Hoover wrote after someone told him that Issue #1 sold out:
This comment was written in September 4rth:
Thanks for the kudos, and it is nice to know that it sold out, although I don't know if I really had anything to do with it. I think it has more to do with all the rabid Charmed fans. And on the financial side it means absolutely nothing, because Zenescope is refusing to pay me royalties. When I started working on Charmed they cut my page rate drastically, and I somehow just assumed there was some kind of royalty structure, which there is not. I'm getting $80 a page for pencils I can do about a page a day) and it's just not enough, so I have threatened to walk. As of right now I am no longer the Charmed artist, so we'll see what happens. But, that has nothing to do with the sentiment of your message, which I assure you is greatly appreciated.
What does that mean?
Prue in the exclusive cover
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis in twitter:
Paul Ruditis replied:

Al Rio's cover
Remember some time before that i told you that Al Rio was preparing a cover for charmed?
Well it seems that his cover is complete.
This is what he replied to me after i asked him about it:
The Dead and The Missing (Spoilers)
According to the latest previews and the info we have so far:
Owen Grant 1 more innocent
Previews for issue #3 (SPOILERS)
Enjoy the previews. You can also find them here.
We get to see Henry. And we get to know why Billie is missing. Also Darryl and his family are mentioned. The story keeps getting more and more interesting.
Also we get some sudden past innocents deaths.
First Issue #3 review (SPOILERS??)
Here is the first review for issue #3.
It nearly has no spoilers.
Here it is: Kittyspryde review
What is new is that we are going to see a Golem and that there is going to be a recap like issue #2 had.
The cover for issue #7 really looks like this promo of Dex and Phoebe.
You can see that not only the hug but even the clothes are similar. Piper and Phoebe wear the same orange colour and Jeans. Also Dex's clothes look like Leo's (although Leo was always wearing this type of clothing).
Credits to SonofHalliwell from the charmedwiki for noticing it.

Charmed #7 title
The title as tweeted by Paul Ruditis is :
"The Heir Up There"
Who do you think the Heir is?
I personally think its Melinda or Wyatt.
CHARMED #7 Summary and New Cover (Spoilers)
Here is the summary for Issue #7. Its going to be insane!
"An all new 5 issue story arc starts here! Great jumping on point for new readers.
Piper is distraught when she finds that her baby daughter has the same orbing power as her part-Whitelighter aunt Paige and worries that it could put her children at risk again as it did when Wyatt was born. Leo decides to make a visit to the Elders for an explanation and is given an intriguing offer but one that would seriously affect his future with Piper. Meanwhile Neena has teamed up with a Darklighter as the two set forth on a Whitelighter killing spree in order to absorb their abilities. Now that she has taken control of the Underworld, Neena has set her sights on the Upper Regions and things are about to heat up!"
And here is a new cover by Rodin Esquejo:
It seems that our speculations about a darklighter making an appearence is indeed true.
Btw where is Hogan? Why only Neena rules? Have the charmedones beat him in previous issues?
Phoebe has her levitation back officially
A charmed fan asked Paul Ruditis in twitter:
Paul Ruditis answered:
2 gained back 1 to go!
Thanks to storygirl for the news.
Prue in the new exclusive cover for issue #3
Here is the exclusive New York comic con cover for issue #3.
The cover pictures the streets of New York (Times Square) with all 4 charmed ones and Tyler featured in the Billboards.
And for the first time Prue can be seen at the right.
What does that mean? Will we see her in this Issue? Is she just randomly added? Who knows.
It is sure exciting to see her.
Remember that we saw a picture of Prue in Issue #0 then a picture of Prue was shown in the charmed panel at San Diego Comic Con, Paul Ruditis said when asked about Prue "is anyone really gone?". Also there are Prue references in the issues so far. Hmmm
Find more about hints of returning characters in this updated category
You think there is a connection?
Thanks to chloefan03 for noticing it seems that the latest cover revealed for issue #7 has similarities with the episode from season 6 Courtship of Wyatt's father.
The sniper vision reminds us of the sniper vision that a darklighter used to hit Leo with an arrow. Also this episode was when Piper and Leo got back together (something that the cover pictures). Maybe we will get an issue that is about a past event?
Despite that the enemy in Issue #7 may be a Darklighter.
That was my brainstorming and all of this may be wrong. Share your thoughts.
Issue #1 unused covers
Dave Hoover posted these 2 covers in his deviantart account.
Here's the rough and finished inked art that I did for an unused cover for Charmed issue #1. Before I had actually started working on the first issue the guys at Zenescope told me to start thinking about the cover art for the first issue. I hadn't even done any sketches and then I got an email from Zenescope giving me a description of what they wanted to see on the cover, a description showing the scene pictured in the art. I thought it was a little odd that they didn't want all three girls to be on the cover to issue one, but hey, they were calling the shots. I did a rough, which was approved, and then I pencilled and inked the finished art, changing the angle a bit so that the audience was a bit closer to the characters. Then to my surprise, I see a cover image to issue one popping up on internet comic sites, the cover featuring a photo of all three girls. I was actually a bit releived; I liked the art and how David Seidman used the photo, and I was releived not to have to do another likness. But again I thought it odd that they didn't tell me of their decision to use photos. The art is currently for sale on Ebay!
You can bid for the cover here
Charmed #7 cover
Awesome news. Here is the cover for CHARMED #7 that Seidman posted on facebook.
It only pictures Leo/Piper. Maybe it is a Leo/Piper one-shot? Who knows. As for the sniper lock on i think it symbolises that their love or marriege is once more in danger.
David Seidman commented:
I have to say i really like it. Leo looks cool and the likeness is awesome. The only negative i can comment is that Leo's hands look too big but this is a detail.
So why dont you go to David Seidman's facebook and comment how much you like this cover? You can also comment on his previous covers too.

The reviewer is amazed by the story but has problems with the likeness of the characters. The reviewer also has made a mistake. He think that the man in the cover for issue #3 is Barbas, the demon of fear.

Rose's look that inspired Paiges look for the comics?
I randomly found this picture of Rose and i directly thought that this look may was what inspired the creative team for Paiges look in the comics. The hair are absolutely the same style lengh and colour.
Happy Birthday Rose!
Today is Rose Mcgowan's birthday!
We all love Rose, the charming Paige who brought new life in charmed so why don't you go to twitter and wish her Happy Birthday for her 37 Birthday.
For me Rose is inspiration. I "met" her for the first time through Charmed 9 years before and from the first moment i saw her i recognised that she is something unique! Her beauty, her elegance her sweet yet powerful personallity made me want to learn more about her and watch more of her movies.
I am fan in almost every fanclub there is for her and she will be my favorite actress. I will always follow and support every step she makes in her life!
Here is a sketch i made for her and sent it to her last year for her birthday :)
