We all know that our witches can invoke other powers and abilities via Spellcasting, like the telepathy spell of Piper and Prue (2x07- They're Everywhere) or Phoebe invoking a fire in "Crimes and Witch-Demeanors". I'm really geek, I've grown seeing the anime "Slayers" where Lina casts any spell, for that, I would love see Charmed Ones cast spells type "blast power-like", invoke elemental powers, weather control (Thunders, tornados...), even see Piper fly via spell since is the only sister that not levite (Prue via telekinesis, Paige via hovering, Phoebe via levitation). I know that Charmed Ones already have active powers, but I would love see this as a nice wink, something sporadic. What do you think? Thank you Ruditis, your plot is surpassing in quality to the past seasons of the show!

IMO I think you guys are far too concerned about powers. Yes, they're a part of Charmed, but they're not the be-all end-all of Charmed. I'm still thinking of my question... Hmm.

1. An antagonist like Neena - the most powerful witch in existence - seems like she would have worked better as a Finale arc moreso than a Premiere/Mid-Season arc. What prompted you to tell the storyline of Neena as the First Witch instead of other potential storylines? Was it a desire to tell a story that hadn't been told on the show before? (Not just the -true- origins of the Charmed Ones' craft, but also the origin of all witch/warlock magic?).

2. Neena is my favourite Charmed antagonist in the history of the entire series, with Zankou as a close second. I much prefer my Charmed villains with ingenuity and substance over some generic demons wanting to kill the Charmed Ones. Can we expect the occasional dim-witted evil-being plotting against Piper, Phoebe and Paige, or do you plan to continue telling the stories of clever and inspiring villains like we've seen with Neena?

1. Return of Prue: I, like many others think it is a BIG Cop Out that you have not brought the character back. Especially when you let Paige crossover to the "other side" (To the Summerland as we Wiccans call it) and SHE STILL NOT THERE. Does that mean she is gone for good?

2. There are rumors on the web that Dan Gordon and his niece Jenny have died in a car accident? (In the comic book world of course.) Can you confirm this?

3. Any plans on expanding the universe a little further? there are rumors on the web about a future Charmed Saga coming up. One that takes place in the future... far from now. Is that true? Will there be a spin off tot he series?

@ People who are asking names of powers & such: Ruditis has mentioned in the previous interview that he doesn't think much about the names of powers, just what the power does. So asking for what the name of a particular power is, is just a complete waste.

@ people who are asking "Will Prue appear?", "Will the kids gain powers?", or "Will the sisters gain more powers?" Those are considered spoilers, and you can expect Ruditis to not answer those kind of questions.

@ people wondering about spin-offs: Zenescope annouce that there are no currently plans for a spin-off. However, there be some in the future.

So everyone, please think about you're questions first.

I have only one question as of right now:

1) Is Paige's last name still "Matthews" or did she change it to "Mitchell". I know it was discussed by Phoebe and Paige in one episode of the series, but it still kinda feels open to me.

therefore by this logic why would the elders believe the power of 3 be inherited by Wyatt and Chris? Wouldn't Phoebe's 3 daughters be the more appropriate heirs?

my second question is loosely related to the first.

as made clear by the episode Pardon my Past, the reason the Halliwell sisters are the charmed ones is not only due to the fact that they are 3 female descendants of Melinda Warren but also because they possess the correct combination of powers. (Telekinisis, Freezing and Premonition) Which is why the 3 cousins' respective mothers (who were clearly sisters) were not the charmed ones. Therefore how could the Power of 3 be tapped into by 3 siblings each possessing only ONE warren magic, this case of Wyatt, Chris and Melinda each wielding only Telekinis? (last I checked none of Piper's children can Freeze or get premonitions. though the jury is still out on the powers of Phoebe's second and 3rd Daughter.)

1. Dave Hoover and Marcio A, have both made it quite clear on their DA accounts that they are not going to doing any more comic issues. (Since Zenescope hasn't sent a check yet, I don't blame them) Who is joining the ranks of artists who will be working on the future issues?

2. Reviews of the artwork has been less than favorable. Some critics are saying the comics characters look nothing like the original actors. I agree with this statement in a few of the issues. I mean Leo looked more like a "Ken doll" in the first couple of issues. Will that be improved upon in the up coming issues?

Most likely because The Source is the epitome of Evil magic, whereas Neena is a neutral magic user.
The height of Evil Magic may have needed a culmination of Good magic, not just the Warren line, to truly defeat the Source.

The Warren lineage is directly tied with Neena, since they are some of her most powerful descendants. I'd imagine it as more of a way of beating her with her own magic, in a sense.

2. Where the HECK IS PRUE! I was really annoyed with the ending of 11. They walk through to the other side... INTO THE FLIPPING AFTER LIFE and she still no where to be found? Come on! It was one thing to put up with this crap in the show.... no one wanted to work with Doherty. I get that and I don't blame them.

But are you telling me her comic book version is difficult to work with too? Or is she already too busy being in some other comic book?

@Power.of.Three.Forever - I think I can answer at least parts of your questions. With Q1, we misunderstood Paul. He was actually saying that the first five issues (aka the first story arc) were like one issue. So yes, it has only been basically two episodes (or maybe three, since issue #6 was a self contained storyline). You can ask how long the season will be. I don't know if he'll answer or not. I don't know if that's been decided or not, but I hope that helps with the rest of that question. As to Q2 time in the comics is not going at any set rate. Issues #4 and #5 happened in the same day as did issues #8, #9, #10, and #11 (and quite likely issue #12 as well, though I have not yet read or been spoiled on that). A specific passage or time was indicated at one point (possibly issue #7) in which it said something along the lines that it had been a few months since the source was revanquished and then in issue #8, Paige commented on feeling remorse over the loss of that boy (Brent) a few months before. Issue #6 also tells us (indirectly) that PJ is three months old (or pretty close to that). I have a few more passages of times that I had calculated, but will need to look up, but basically, time passes however fast or slow Paul needs it to for the storyline to work. He will probably answer that (at least the first half), but I hope that helped anyway.

@CharmedComicFan - If you think having a time line of the comics would be valuable for this site, email me and I can put all my info together in one place and send it to you. I've got a very detailed timeline of the show using minor time stamps here and there. I should be able to do a decent job putting this together.

I'm pretty convinced that Issues 6 & 7 could pass off as individual episodes, cause Issue 7 was depicted like the first few episodes of Season 4 wherein there's a front-focused plot and also a subtle, running-in-background story aswell. So maybe all in all, we have 4-7 episodes.

I was going to comment on AliCat's comment, but decided that it didn't actually spoil anything. I'm one of those people who really doesn't want to be spoiled until I read it (though usually I don't have this long to wait. This is like the wait with volume #2), so I'd appreciate if anyone does have spoiling to only spoil in the place specifically designed for spoiling. And that goes double for anything Prue related. If Zenescope doesn't want to tell us . . . then it's more spoiling then I want to hear.

Hmm. Maybe I should ask a question about spoilers, previews and such. I think that's more Zenescope's thing then it is Paul's, but he is giving us mini excerpts for this issue (well, two anyway), so maybe we can get him to do it more often . . . even if he just does it after the issue is out or starts the day before it's out. Lots of people will still not have read them at that point.

How did you come up with the explanation Grams & Patty gave the girls of Prue's "absence" in Issue #12? Was it something you had thought of as a fan, before starting the comic series?

What exactly are the two Orbs that Neena uses to fuse the Heavens and the Underworld, and why would the Elders keep the powers of the Underworld up in the Heavens? (Because Neena called them "My sweetlings" in Issue #10, my theory is that they're the souls of her two children, the Witch and the Warlock, and the Elders keep his soul locked away so Evil cannot harness his power - am I at all close?)

Question #4)
The first two Volumes have been quite an intense arc for Neena and the Charmed Ones. Waiting for the next part of the story arc is exciting, but would you ever consider having a future Volume of Charmed made up entirely of one-shots, in a similar vein to Seasons 2 and 5? I wouldn't expect every Volume to be made up of epic storylines. I loved Issue #6 for its simplicity, and I hope there's more issues like it in the future.

You really are the master of suspense! Patty's revelation about Prue at the end of Issue #12 blows open a whole new door into the potential for Charmed storylines. What made you pursue an entirely new storyline for Prue instead of having her return in Issue #12 as she could have returned from the Afterlife with Paige (if she wasn't missing, obviously).
[PS: I wonder if a certain forgotten villainess from Season 1 could be behind Prue's disappearence? ;)]

I've found that after reading all the issues I've noticed Neena's ethnicity has come into question. I was intrigued to first see her with darker pigmentation which made me conclude personally she from African descendant but after see her in following issues her appearance has changed so much. Why?

1 - Are you going to reveal how the magical community forgave the Charmed Ones and how the Charmed Ones forgave the magical community after the end of season 8.
2 - Will you be revealing more about rennek in future issues i.e how he knew neena, how he knew what she was, if he survived the battle in issue 12 and how he came back after leo apparently vanquished him(hope this counts as one question because its really the same topic)
3 -In issue 7 there was a flashback of Leo and Rennek fighting with white light appearing from leo's hands and dark light appearing from renneks hands.Is this a whitelighter/darklighter energy beam power or does it just signify good and evil like some fans theorized????

Paige is half witch/half whitelighter so since Henry is full mortal does that mean that the twins are only one quarter whitelighter and three quarter witch and therefore weaker then other Whitelighters and more likely to be more witchy like piper and phoebe or whitelightery like Paige?
2 - at the end of the tv series it said they vanquished all the strong demons in the world/underworld. In your opinion what does this mean i.e did they vanquish all the upper level demons/just certain upper level demons which only the charmed ones could vanquish or what. (I just always wondered what they meant when they said that because they only vanquished like 1000 demons and in the unaired original pilot the warlock said there's millions of evil beings so I was wondering what kind of evil is left)
3 - are the three angels seen in the charmed offensive the only angels of destiny or were they the only ones there because they were the only ones who have dealt with the charmed ones before?

Q 1: Now that the Angels of Destiny are not going to interfere with the Charmed Ones, does that mean that the flashforward shown in "Forever Charmed" can now be altered?

Q 2: Now that the first major storyline is finished, how do you feel?

Q 3: With a series like Charmed, surely they'll be similarities between other supernatural series like Buffy, Angel, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, etc. Do you try to stay away from watching these series so that you can come up with original ideas? Or do you just say "what-the-heck" and just watch them anyway?

Q 4: Will the Charmed comic line continue to have different artists draw every issue or will they finally find one person to draw the series?

This last question is just from a different post that I had made.

Q 5: In issue #1, in the panels where the Angel of Destiny confronts Neena and Hogan, are the party-goers suppose to be frozen or not? If not, then is it suppose to be a demonic bar as previously shown in the series?

2. Why Cole is not banished at all just because he is still in love with Phoebe? He stucked at Neena's world!

4. Does this series had a chance on animation? That would be great.

Okay, so I don't have any idea where my list of questions is and times basically up, so here's two more questions.

4. What kind of instructions did you give about Neena's looks both to the artists and to the colorists. While it makes sense for different artists to draw her differently, her went from kinkly black to wavy brown and her skin went from a deep tan to fairly pale and these changes came with the same colorists.

5. If you could pick one vanquished bad guy from Charmed to unvanquish, who would it be and why? I'm not asking who you'd bring to the comics, in fact I'd prefer it to be someone you wouldn't bring to the comics, so that there's no way this is a spoiler question. I'm just curious about what bad guys from Charmed you like best.

I have two questions for Mr. Ruditis:

Will Phoebe be pregnant again soon? Will her three daughters form the new Power of Three and gain Warren powers, apart from their Cupid-powers?

Will Melinda Halliwell be granted Piper's powers (even if it is in an "orbing" way)? The Molecular Immobilization Power was passed on from Patty to Piper, why wouldn't it be passed from Piper to her daughter Melinda? It would be a great inheritance!

I'm looking forward to seeing the interview!
